The packaging collected can be reclaimed in two ways:
Either for the manufacture
of other products
(Recycling)
Or for the manufacture of new
similar containers
(Reincorporation)
The reincorporation process concerns certain types of dirty empty packaging, that were not able to be reused and which have not contained certain substances.
When unloading packaging, Emb-i-pack checks its general condition and the substances that it contained. If the load is compliant with the Prior Acceptance Certificate (C.A.P.), Emb-i-pack sorts it and stores it by type and category.
The packaging to be reclaimed in the form of material are washed on the inside, then shredded and crushed. Production scrap and remnants are crushed directly. The material thus crushed, whether from packaging or production scrap and remnants, is stored in big bags in the form of flakes; it is reclaimed and used for the manufacture either of original products or of other products.
